About Mrs. McChesney

I have had the opportunity to wear many different hats in my 25 years of being an educator.  My husband and I ventured to Las Vegas, Nevada as young adults starting out.  It was there that I began such a rewarding career.  I taught 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grade before becoming a literacy coach and staff developer for my school and community. I completed my Masters degree in Administration and Supervision at the University of Phoenix while living in Las Vegas. 

My oldest daughter was born, and we decided it was time to go back East to be closer to family.  I took a job as a Literacy Coach for the NJDOE.  I continued my education and I studied to be a Certified Reading Specialist. I have been a reading specialist here in Wall Township now for the past 17 years. I will continue to further my education as a life-long learner.   I am excited to be a part of the Wall Township community.
