• Welcome to World History, where you will learn to think historically! There will be an emphasis on skills, on habits of the mind that help our students acquire the ability to understand and learn about the cultural and physical changes humanity has faced, key events, social changes, and documents, including those which provide the foundations of modern society. This course is obliged to create active thinking and engaged citizens, which includes understanding the importance of context, evidence, and chronology from several eras of world history.

    This course will explore the history of assorted human societies, including cultures, politics, and religions.  Subjects to be covered include: The Stone Age, Ancient Mesopotamia, Ancient Egypt, Ancient India, Ancient China, Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome and the Middle Ages. These areas were significant in the development of western cultures. Elements of these cultural societies still exist today and are woven into the fabric of our modern world.
